A PRP vampire facial combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma derived from your own blood. A small blood sample is taken and processed to concentrate the platelets and growth factors. This PRP is then applied to the skin during microneedling, allowing the growth factors to penetrate deep into the skin and stimulate natural healing and collagen production.
Platelets contain growth factors that play a crucial role in tissue repair and regeneration. When concentrated and reintroduced to the skin, these growth factors stimulate fibroblast activity, collagen synthesis, and new blood vessel formation. The microneedling creates channels that allow the PRP to reach the deeper layers of the skin where it can have the greatest effect.
Your nurse will draw a small blood sample and process it in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. Numbing cream is applied to the treatment area. The microneedling device then creates micro-channels while the PRP is applied. Treatment takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes including blood preparation and numbing time.
Expect redness for 24 to 72 hours, similar to sunburn. Some mild swelling and sensitivity is normal. Results develop gradually over 4 to 6 weeks as collagen remodelling occurs.
